Control System Terminals
The PRT - series
terminals operate as auxiliary remote identification devices connected
to PR access controllers. The terminals do not grant access for
particular users but they recognize users (by a card or PIN code)
and transmit information to a logic device(controller), which makes
the proper decision.
The terminal
communicates with the controller via one pair of cables (CLOCK/DATE
bus); it may be installed up to 150m from the controller. The terminals
connected to the controlelr are distinguished by ID numbers; the
system indicates the name of the terminal or controller at which
a user is identified. In the system configuration process, an individual
name (eg. Secretary's Office, Laboratory, etc.) and type (entrance,
exit, business exit, etc.) may be declared to each terminal and
each controller.
